Christina -
I am an experienced school teacher who has previously worked within Primary and Secondary schools within the UK and the UAE, directly teaching in classrooms, providing personal tutorials within the home and developing curriculum, teaching and learning within management positions. After qualifying to be a teacher in 2004, I thought I would extend my knowledge and expertise by completing a Masters Degree in Childhood Studies and Early Years. I have two young children of my own, so have an insight into the life of a working parent, the pressures, the time restrains and the emotions that may run in placing a child into a nursery setting. This is the base that supports the creation of Tina’s Tots, the curriculum, the pedagogy and the methodology. I am passionate and commitment to providing a service which both parents and children love, and a place where staff are happy, supported and valued. My nursery develops each child through play and playful adult teachings in a vibrant, exciting and engaging environment. Children develop true friendships of equals where respect, sharing and caring is at the heart of everything we do. We believe children who have attended Tina’s Tots have a good understanding of the world around them and the expectations, allowing them to be confident, independent individuals who are prepared for some of the challenges and experiences in life.

I am level 3 qualified and have 5 years experience in childcare. I have recently taken up a new role within Tina’s Tots which is the admin manager, I will still be in and out of the rooms helping out and covering staff lunches so the children will still see me as normal, I love being the first face they see when they enter nursery!

I have been working in childcare for over 12 years with two breaks for maternity. I have two wonderful daughters aged 3 and 12 which allows me to experience first hand the parents side of childcare. I believe this helps me to create the unique bond I have with the parents at Tina’s Tots especially those first time parents as I can relate to their experiences allowing me to put their anxieties at ease and answer their questions from a childcare prospective but also that as a parent. At Tina’s Tots we are dedicated to providing your children with a nurturing, inspiring, safe and happy place where they can learn and develop at their own individual pace. I am currently studying level 5 early years lead practitioner with the goal to progress on to early years teacher training. I have recently taken another step towards management fulfilling my duties as Deputy Manager and delivering my knowledge of the goals and intentions of the manager to the staff, ensuring your little ones are receiving the best learning and care that we pride ourselves on.

I am the Special and Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo for short) here at Tinas Tots. I have 18 years mainstream and specialist experience and have previously managed and taught a specialist provision within a mainstream primary school. I am also a Lead Autism Practitioner. I graduated from The University of Leeds with a foundation degree in Learning and Teaching SEND. I love working as a close team and being able to support every child in every setting to be as inclusive as possible. I have always prided myself on my approachable and understanding persona, my vast knowledge and the desire to always be learning how to be the best for the children and improve practice- as well as being fun and bubbly- a great combination for working with families, children, other staff and professionals.

I am a level 3 qualified childcare practitioner, with experience from birth to age 10 years. I qualified 14 years ago and have since worked in nursery settings, where I have been dedicated to providing a safe and stimulating place for both the parents and the children within my care. My passion is for the Baby Room which is where I have spent most of my career, caring for and providing fun-filled activities, ensuring the babies within my care are safe, happy, and thriving. In my previous employment, I was the supervisor for the Baby Room where I was responsible for all babies under the age of two years.

I am trained up to level 3 in childcare and early years. I am an early years practitioner here at Tina’s Tots. I have a duty of care for all the children within the setting. I work closely with my key children and follow the EYFS framework when planning activities that suits their needs and interests. We learn but also have fun.

I am the bubbly, fun, loving chef here at Tina’s Tots. I have many years experience and have a level 3 Food & Hygiene Certificate. I am very passionate and love cooking a wide variety of healthy nutritious meals ( the hidden vegetable sauces go down a treat!) The children are always asking what’s for snack lunch and dinner. It’s lovely to see them so inquisitive and excited about food. The children especially love our weekly session whether it be chopping up fruit and vegetables or baking some yummy treats!
