Spaces for 0-18 months
Our Caterpillar Cabin is a cosy, self-contained space set within the nursery grounds, thoughtfully created just for our youngest children. Being separate from the main nursery allows babies to relax, settle, and sleep peacefully without the noise and bustle of older children. With fewer unfamiliar faces coming in and out, babies can form strong, secure attachments and feel safe, calm, and cared for. Every part of the room has been lovingly designed with babies in mind, using age-appropriate furniture, resources, and sensory experiences to support their comfort, wellbeing, and early development.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum at Tina's Tots is designed to meet the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of each child. We offer a play-based approach that encourages exploration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Key Person
In our Caterpillar Room at Tina’s Tots, we have three members of staff working together. All new children are initially assigned a key person, usually the room leader, to help them settle in and begin forming secure attachments.
As the child becomes more familiar with the environment and staff, they naturally build bonds with all team members. If a child develops a stronger attachment to another member of staff, we will review and, if appropriate, change their key person to best support the child’s emotional wellbeing and development.
